Rubik's Cube Solution Method

If you haven't yet done so, please read Getting to know your cube before attempting the solution.
1.

The first step is to place four edges between the correct centers.

Notice the + shape on the white side and the fact both stickers on the edges match the ajacent centers.
2.

Now, we will place a corner between the correct edges.

Begin by choosing the place where you will put the corner. Note the colors of the three centers around the chosen spot and locate the corner with these three colors.
Repeat this for each corner around the cross. (in this case, all the corners with white on them)
3.

Now, we flip over the cube so that our solved side is now located on the bottom.

Notice the upside-down T shape on the sides ajacent to the bottom face.
4.

During this step, we'll build a second layer above the first one we made earlier.
Start by lining up an edge piece in the top layer with a center on the middle layer. Put this assembly on the Front side of the cube. If the top sticker on the edge has the color of the center to the left, perform the following sequence:

U' L' U L U F U' F'
The edge is now at FL.
If this dosen't make any sense to you, please read the notation page!
If the sticker on top of the edge is the same color as the center on the R face, perform this sequence:

U R U' R' U' F' U F
The edge piece is now at FR.
If you can't continue, but the middle layer isn't yet complete, send any edge from the top layer into the unsolved place. For examle, you could place an unsolved edge at FR and use the second sequence. Then, repeat step 4. -->
Repeat this step until the two bottom layers of the cube are solved.
5.

Now, take a look at the top face of the cube (U face). If all four edges are the same color as the center piece, proceed to step 6.
If two ajacent edges are the same color as the center, place your cube as shown and perform the following sequence, before proceeding to step 6.

F U R U' R' F'
If two opposite edges are the same color as the center, place your cube as shown and perform the following sequence, before proceeding to step 6.

F R U R' U' F'
If none of the edges are of the same color as the center, preform the following sequence:

F U R U' R' F' U F R U R' U' F'
6.

Do "U" moves until two U layer edges line up with the correct centers in the middle layer.
If these deges are ajacent (as in the picture), hold the cube so that these solved edges are located at UB and UR.
If the edges are opposite, hold the cube so that the solved edges are located at UF and UB.
Then perform the following:

R U R' U R U2 R' U
If the edges were opposite, repeat step 6.
7.

Now, locate a corner located in the right place (as in the picture). We're only looking at if it has the right colors, not at the orientation of the corner. (yellow red blue, yellow red blue)
Hold the cube with this corner at URF.
Perform the following:

U R U' L' U R' U' L

Repeat this step until all the corners are in the right places (not necessarily correctly oriented).
8.

(a)
Hold the cube so that an unsolved corner is located at URF.
Perform:

R' D' R D R' D' R D

until the corner is solved.

Don't worry about the mixing of the "D" layer, that's normal. Simply make sure to keep the same center on "F".
(b)
Then, do "U" until an unsolved corner is at URF, as in the picture.
Repeat the sequence in (a) until the corner is solved.
Repeat part (b) until all the corners atre solved.

Finally, line up "U" to finish solving the cube.
